Born Oct 1914. Joined Heer 1933, Served 4 yrs. in 13th infantry. Hamel Volunteered to join the SS VT and given the rank of Scharfuhrer in 5th company Germania. He occupied the Sudetenland in 1938-1939 Occopied Bohmeia and Moravra.
Participated in Wiking Panzer Grenadere Div. Nordland.
